The Golden Lion (sister pub to The Old Duke) has now established itself as one of the key music venues in Bristol. We now offer live music 6 days a week with DJs on Sundays. We are proud to say that we boast some of the finest talent from the Bristol music scene as well as other touring bands from around the country and abroad.

Monday - Open Mic Night hosted by Bobby Anderson (Yes Rebels/ The 45’s).

Tuesday - Live in the Lion's Den hosted by Nuala - every week Nuala brings two special guests into the Den to perform ecclectic/acoustic sets

Wednesday - brings you Contraband Sessions hosted every week by DJ Skint, each week serves up a selection of Dub, Electro, Funk and Hip Hop with the monthly special bringing you the best in local b-boys and graffiti along with the in-house band, Contraband Breaks Ensemble, playing some rare Hip-Hop breaks

Thursday, Friday and Saturday - bring a variety of live acts and performers. Please see our listings page for all the forthcoming music details.

Sunday - is chill out night with our resident DJs Chillder and Dub Dave playing a selection of Reggae, Funk, Rare Groove and Loungecore. Plus appearances from Bristol’s own legend DJ Derek and the Dub from Atlantis crew.
